Who We Are
This website (openplan3d.com) and the OpenPlan3D floor plan editor are operated by theLodgeStudio ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how we handle information when you visit this site and use our tools. If you have questions, contact us at labs@laan.com.
Information We Collect
OpenPlan3D is designed to work without collecting personal information. Specifically:
Information you provide
We do not require an account and do not operate signup, login, or contact forms on this site. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you.
Usage and device data
When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics automatically process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand aggregate usage. We do not use it to identify you individually.
Floor plan data
Designs, rooms, and furniture you create in the editor are saved locally in your browser (for example, in local storage) and are not uploaded to our servers. Exported files (PNG, SVG, DXF, PDF) are generated in your browser and saved directly to your device.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website;
- Understand aggregate traffic and improve the product;
- Diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse;
- Respond to messages you send us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
Cookies & Analytics
We aim to keep tracking minimal. The editor may use browser storage (such as local storage) to remember your work and preferences on your own device — this stays in your browser.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate, anonymized traffic (for example, how many people visit a page). Any analytics we use is configured to avoid building an advertising profile of you. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage through their settings; doing so will not prevent you from using OpenPlan3D.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run OpenPlan3D:
- Hosting infrastructure (Google Firebase / Google Cloud) to serve this website and process standard server logs.
- Analytics, where enabled, to measure aggregate site usage.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. This site may also link to external sites (such as GitHub or 3D Splat App); their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Data Retention
Because your designs live in your own browser, you control them — clearing your browser data removes them. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes, then discarded or anonymized.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we don't maintain accounts and collect very little personal information, in most cases there is little to no personal data tied to you. Children's Privacy
OpenPlan3D is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
